On Wednesday 27 May, Pier Property was proud to participate in the Pymble Ladies’ College Pathways and Construction & Property Expo, an initiative designed to introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities available across the construction, property and allied industries.
Held at Pymble Ladies’ College, the Expo brought together leading organisations from across the industry, including consultants, builders, property professionals and industry bodies. Students from senior year groups, along with Year 6 students from the Junior School, had the opportunity to engage directly with industry representatives, ask questions and gain valuable insights into potential career pathways.
Throughout the day, the PPC team enjoyed meeting hundreds of enthusiastic students who demonstrated genuine curiosity about the property and construction sectors. Discussions covered everything from project management and development through to the diverse range of professional opportunities that contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the built environment.
The event proved to be a tremendous success, with strong student engagement across all sessions and positive feedback from organisers and participating industry partners. The enthusiasm displayed by the students was particularly encouraging and highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young people to explore careers within our industry.
Greg Hastie, Project Director – Masterplanning and Capital Works at Pymble Ladies’ College, reflected on the event’s success, noting that the Expo was “a massive success” and that students were highly engaged throughout the day. He expressed optimism that the event would inspire more Pymble students to pursue careers within the construction and property industry in the years ahead.
PPC is passionate about supporting the next generation of industry professionals and believes initiatives such as the Pathways Expo play an important role in bridging the gap between education and industry. By providing students with real-world insights and exposure to industry professionals, these events help build awareness of the many rewarding career opportunities available within the built environment.
We would like to thank Pymble Ladies’ College for inviting us to be part of this fantastic initiative and congratulate the College on delivering such a well-organised and impactful event. We look forward to continuing to support programs that encourage and inspire future talent across the property and construction sectors.
