33 ALFRED STREET

As part of the Quay Quarter Sydney development, an opportunity was identified to reposition a 32,000sqm commercial asset at 33 Alfred Street. Built in 1962, this building was one of Sydney’s first skyscrapers and holds State significant heritage value.

As project manager of this iconic building, PPC assisted in completing a detailed feasibility study and obtaining development approval from the City of Sydney. Following this DA approval, PPC managed the design development and head contractor procurement.

PPC carried out the Superintendent role throughout the project’s delivery. This complex redevelopment, designed by renowned architectural firm JPW, revitalised the building while preserving its heritage. The project was completed in 2025 and is now an integral part of the Quay Quarter Sydney precinct.
