Santa Sabina College (SSC) – Junior School Covered Outdoor Area (COLA)

PPC provided project management services for Santa Sabina College Junior School on a Design and Construct contract, overseeing the delivery of a new learning and play environment. Acting as the client’s representative, Pier Property managed the Contractor through the complexities of construction in a live school environment, ensuring works were delivered safely and with minimal disruption to daily Junior School operations. The project encompassed minor demolition works, the construction of a new rotunda designed to accommodate up to 390 students, refurbishment of the Warami Undercroft, installation of a covered playground and softfall play zones, as well as new pathways, seating, gardens, and landscaping.

Central to the project was the engagement with the school community and the integration of its Dominican Catholic heritage into the design. The curvilinear “rosary bead walk” links existing buildings with new play spaces and the outdoor pavilion, creating both a symbolic and functional connection across the campus. PPC’s project management approach ensured the vision for an accessible, fun, and multi-functional landscape was realised, providing students with safe, flexible, and inspiring spaces for play, learning, and community gatherings.
