Santa Sabina College engaged PPC is the project manager for the delivery of a new Sport and Aquatic Centre via competitive tender. As the client’s representative, Pier Property has overseen the preparation of the SSDA, managing consultant inputs and coordinating with authorities to ensure compliance with planning and heritage requirements. The project scope includes demolition of outdated facilities such as Siena Hall, outdoor courts, existing pool, and amenities, along with enabling works to prepare the site for redevelopment. The SSDA approval paves the way for a purpose-built senior sports centre and aquatic centre, featuring multipurpose indoor courts, gymnasium, student and staff amenities, offices, basement car park, and a new heated outdoor swimming pool with landscaped surrounds.

Central to the project is balancing modern educational and sporting facilities with the preservation of Santa Sabina’s heritage and character. The design restores view lines to the historic 1927 building while delivering contemporary spaces that support the school’s Dominican ethos of learning, community, and wellbeing. PPC’s management of the SSDA process ensures that the College’s vision for world-class facilities is realised, enabling students to benefit from state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor sporting environments that encourage health, resilience, and academic excellence, while also supporting whole-school gatherings and community use.
